The Govan Taekwondo club was started on January 17th 2005 (with 15 new students joining), by our two instructors Garry Petrie (4th Dan) and Raymond McCoy (3rd Dan) and since then it has grown to have a student base of over 35 registered students. We are a friendly club, and have a good mix of students.
We welcome anyone from the age of 6 upwards to join our club. Our fee's are one of the cheapest in the area for any martial arts club, but this does not show in the level of training that you will receive. Our class fee's start at £15 per month, for unlimited training, at Govan classes and our sister club's in Rutherglen (this means you can have up to 6 hours training per week), we also have special prices for families starting. On joining the club your first month's training will be free (Apart for the licence fee of £23 per year).
Our Monthly Club Fess's Are :-
Individual membership = Kid £15 per month & Adults £22 per month
Family membership = 2 kids £22 per month, 3 kids £30 per month, 2 adults £37 per month,
1 adult + 1 kid £32 per month, 1 adult + 2 kids £45 per month
(MONTHLY FEE'S MUST BE PAID ON TIME)
On joining our club you will be made welcome by the instructors and all our students, as we remember the day that we first walked into our club to join. You will be asked to fill out a licence form, which must be handed back, with the fee (This fee is to cover you under the B.T.C.B insurance policy), before you can start training.

The Govan Taekwondo club is part of the Sokcho Taekwondo group which is based in the South side of Glasgow.
We are also Registered with the British Taekwondo Control Board ( B.T.C.B ), This also means that we have full recognition with the World Taekwondo Federation( W.T.F ).
So being part of these two Federation’s you can rest assured that the training is of the highest quality.
Both Garry and Raymond are Disclosure Scotland Certified and First Aid Trained
